Move Up

If we have classes that are defined by Age Range, or by School Year, we can use the Move Up function, to move children from one class to another, as they get older. We cannot use Move Up, for classes that are set to No Age Range Specified.

When we click the Move Up tab, we will be able to select a date, for when children will be moved up to the next class.

In the Class drop down list, we will see any classes we have set to be defined by Age Range, or by School Year. We’ll need to select the relevant class, and then click the Show button. We’ll then see a list of any children that can be moved up, and which class they can be moved up to. If there is no class that is suitable for a child to be moved up to, if we have no class for their age range, for example, the system will show No Class Available, and the tick box on the right will be greyed out.

If there is a suitable class, we will see the class name shown, and we’ll be able to tick the tick box, on the right, to confirm we wish the child to be moved to this class. If we have several children moving up, we can click the Select All button, to tick the boxes for all the children.

Once all the children we wish to move, have been selected, we can click the Move Up button, and the children will be moved to their new classes.
